Post-7 How can your studies make the world a better place

 Hello! My name is Francisca Arce and I study chemistry and pharmacy.



My career is developed in different areas, each of them as important as the other, as well as in hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, industries, etc.

In this context of a pandemic, my career can shine a lot, since pharmaceutical chemists are in charge of clinical studies of vaccines against the SARS-CoVs-2 virus. They monitor the vaccines and monitor the effects produced by them.

Pharmaceutical chemists are the drug experts, their job is to inform the population about the rational use of drugs and their correct use, that self-medication is not good and they should always attend the doctor first.

A task of pharmacists is the investigation of different compounds that could help improve the health of the population and its diversity

In the future I see myself in a laboratory, working to improve the health of the population or finding a cure for cancer!
